Primate Lodge is situated in the forests of Uganda in the Kibale Forest National Park.

A variety of accommodation types is available, from tented lodgings to a thatched tree-top cottage. Stone walkways lead the way to the main complex housing the dining area, lounge and bar.

The ideal forest location of Primate Lodge means that chimp encounters are never very far away. Set out on morning and afternoon expeditions, seeking out the chimpanzees as well as the other 13 primate species that can be found in the area.

Birding is also excellent in the forest with approximately 325 recorded species found in the area. Enjoy guided nature walks through the forest, as well as a night walk in search of the nocturnal inhabitants of the forest.

Meals at Primate Lodge are served in the dining area and are influenced by both local and international flavours. Coffee and drinks can be enjoyed at the well-stocked bar adjacent to the dining area.

Primate Lodge offers 8 luxury safari tents, complete with private veranda and en suite bathroom, as well as 6 thatched cottages also with private verandas.

For a true forest experience, the lodge offers one raised cottage and one tree-top cottage. All rooms are decorated with a distinctly local flavour and provide for a comfortable and casual stay.
