Mount Gahinga Lodge is set in the foothills of the 3 dramatic Virunga volcanoes: Mgahinga, Muhavuru and Sabinyo. This unique area is a dense jungle with nearby emerald lakes, an abundant bird life and gorilla populations.

The lodge is designed according to eco-friendly principles, using natural energy sources to minimise environmental impact. As far as possible, the lodges are run by members of the local population, creating a harmonious African safari location.

You can engage in exciting activities as you explore the area. You can go gorilla tracking, climb the dormant volcanoes, visit the emerald waters of Lake Mutanda, or simpy relax and watch the birds and other wildlife.
