Northern Division
Uganda
The Northern Division of Uganda is a political province located in the northern part of the country. Travel to the extreme north, especially the north eastern area of Uganda bordering the Sudan, is not recommended.
Since their inception in 1987, a rebel military group called the Lord's Resistance Army has waged an armed rebellion against the Ugandan government. The LRA operate mainly in northern Uganda. This is one of the longest running conflicts in Africa.
