Kyambura Gorge Lodge was built conceptualising the ancient Indian traditions of harmonizing the energy of the building with the earth.

The lodge offers views of the Kyambura Gorge, the playground for a troop of endangered chimpanzees and is nearby the Queen Elizabeth National Park at the foot of Rwenzori Mountains.

Kyambura Gorge Lodge's main building is a restored and reconverted coffee-processing and drying shed which now serves as a reception, lounge, dining area, bar and office with an enviromental awareness through the reconversion of coffee factory buildings with materials such as thatch, clay and volcanic rock, solar power, low-water consumption technology and safari showers.

Queen Elizabeth National Park with it's crater hills, open grassland and thick forests is home to ample wildlife such as elephant, lion, hippo, leopard and a unique Ugandan antelope known as a kob as well as 10 primate species. Another feature in the park is the Kazinga Channel that offers boat cruises where you may spot hippos and Nile crocodiles.

Spend your days tracking chimpanzee, going on guided game drives searching for lions lazing in the trees, visiting communities and a tea factory, forest and crater walks and if you are an avid bird watcher you will be in heaven as the park boasts more than 560 bird species.

You may request a guided tour of the lodge grounds & coffee processing plants as well as other projects the area is supporting.

After a day of exploring, unwind on the private wooden balcony while the African sun sets and flamingo's frolick in the crater lakes and the attentive staff offer personalised service.
