Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is discreetly secluded in the folds of the foothills of massive dormant volcanoes. The temperate climate and volcanic location create an intriguing and beautiful ecosystem of tropical vegetation.

The cottages are made out of stone and have Rwandese terracotta roof tiles, and each has its own unique view of the surrounding area. All are spacious and feature large sitting areas, fireplaces, Venetian plaster dressing rooms, and verandas.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is ideally located near Parc National des Volcans where you can go on a gorilla trekking expedition and come face to face with these magnificent great apes.

There are also genocide memorials nearby where you can come to understand how such atrocities came about and see how far Rwanda has come since then.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge has its own restaurant and bar. Meals can be served on the outside decks during warm weather, and there is a fireplace in the restaurant to keep it warm in winter.

A picnic lunch can be arranged on request.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge comprises five double cottages, two suites and one family suite. All have large living areas, with fireplaces, and balconies. The family suite has a second bedroom with en suite bathroom and fireplace.
