The lodges of South Luangwa National Park and Kafue National Park offer game drives during the day as well as exciting night drives.
If you're travelling during the dry season (June to November), we'd recommend combining your game drives with a South Luangwa walking safari.
At Tafika Lodge you can also view wildlife from the air as you soar over the bushveld on a microlight, or try peddle power - a mountain bike safari is an excellent way to absorb the sights and sounds of the bush without the distracting noise of an engine.
For water-based activities, head for the peaceful lodges of the Lower Zambezi National Park, and enjoy game viewing as you float down the mighty Zambezi on a boat or canoe, or try to hook a toothy tiger fish.
One of my favourite game experiences in the Lower Zambezi was seeing a leopard walk straight in front of our vehicle, stop, turn and stare straight at us before moving on into the bush. This was my first leopard sighting and I felt blessed to have seen such a magnificent creature - Africa safari expert Bonitta Twigg
