Chongwe River Camp is a 'bush camp' situated in a pristine 4 000 sq km sanctuary teeming with game, and where elephant are more numerous than people. There are no fences in this wilderness area and the animals have complete right of way.

Relax in the sitting area overlooking the river and watch the constant procession of game coming to drink, as well as over 250 species of birds.

The chalets at Chongwe River Camp are large, well-appointed Mulati tents under thatch, with open-air bathrooms en suite.

Situated under a canopy of albida thorns and surrounded by cool lawns, they command fabulous views over the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi rivers.

Each tent sleeps 2 people and twin or double beds can be arranged. The bathrooms are an experience in their own right. Shower under the stars or the early morning sunshine. All fittings are made from natural materials found near the lodge.
