Located in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, Luanshya was once a booming copper mining town. Today the town is fading into unspectacular ghost town status. Apart from hosting a few mildly famous events such as the 2006 Miss Commonwealth Africa, and an International Sports Festival in 1985, nothing much goes on here in the way of entertainment.
The town is near Ndola, Zambia's second-largest city.
