Mbala

The town of Mbala is found just before the road descends into the heat of the Great Rift Valley. The town has a few elementary facilities. The town's main attraction is the Moto Moto Museum.

Mbala is perhaps the best place in Zambia to view artefacts of the Bemba (local tribe). There is an extensive and comprehensive collection of tools, interesting craft instruments and various fascinating exhibits connected to traditional ceremonies and 'witchcraft'. This museum is well known to the local people and well worth a visit.
