The Falls and surrounding reserves are just two of the many attractions which draw people to this top destination.

Victoria Falls has earned its reputation as the adrenalin capital of Africa, and is the base for an endless variety of adventure sports such as white water river rafting and bungee jumping.

If adrenalin is something you'd rather conserve, there are plenty of relaxing things to do; start the day with an elephant back safari or wind down at sunset with a leisurely Zambezi River cruise.

An important factor to consider is the best time to go to Victoria Falls, as some activities aren't available all year round.

The Falls are at full flood at the end of the rainy season (February to May) so while this is the best time to see them at their most powerful, the water current is far too strong for Victoria Falls activities like river rafting or swimming in the Devil's Pool.

So, if you're planning a trip to Victoria Falls, be warned: with more than 50 activities on offer, you'll probably need a couple of days to fit everything in.
