All the hotels in Zimbabwe and Zambia have restaurants, and there's a scattering of coffee shops and fast food options in both Livingstone and Victoria Falls town.

For local cuisine and culture, try The Boma, Place of Eating, at the ever popular Victoria Falls Safari Lodge on the Zimbabwean side; although undeniably touristy, the Boma offers a really fun night out.

Snack on mopane worms (a local speciality) before diving into the four-course buffet barbecue, serving up a wide range of game including warthog, kudu and crocodile. Ndebele singers and dancers provide the evening's entertainment, and by the end you're sure to be banging along on your own drum.

If you're looking for western-style meals, you should be able to find anything from steakhouses to pizza places in Vic Falls.

Victoria Falls is no longer known for its night-life, and most tourists tend to stick to the well-stocked bars of their hotels.

There are a couple of bars in the downtown areas where you can have a cheap drink or two, and maybe even a bit of a boogie to some local and commercial music.
