This holiday places the emphasis on walking in the wilderness. 5 days of your camping safari in Africa will be spent on a mobile walking safari, camping in the heart of the African bush, but you'll begin and end your safari relaxing at luxury tented camps.

On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you are met and transferred to Nkwali Camp, which is only 45 minutes from the airport. Nkwali is a wonderful start to a camping safari in Africa as it is situated on private land, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park. With beautiful ebony woodlands and open plains, this area is famous for its leopard, lion, elephant and giraffe sightings. Accommodation is in cool and spacious thatch chalets, each of which has a view of the Luangwa River.

After an early breakfast, you head north to start your mobile camping safari, arriving in camp for lunch. The camp is already set up with well-equipped walk-in tents. Your shower is under a tree and your toilet is a long drop with a wooden throne. Enjoy a relaxing siesta before tea, and go for a walk around camp in the afternoon to return for sundowners and dinner under the stars. You'll be up at sunrise for your morning walks, and your camp will be moved for you, with lunch ready when you arrive, leaving you free to relax and muse on the lore of the African bush you have learned, or listen to the calls of the birds and animals around you.
