You wil leave Johannesburg early and head for Beit Bridge, continuing in a northern direction toward the Great Zimbabwe Ruins where you will spend a night in a cosy lodge (meals for your own expense).

Wake up early in order to explore & learn more about the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, some of the largest and historical structures in sub-Saharan Africa.

Then you will move East to Save River Game Reserve, offering some of the best game viewing in Zimbabwe.

Spend 2 nights in a rustic, intimate bush camp exploring the area with guided walks and on game drives.

Today you will leave the Lowveld and continue through Mutare and further into the Eastern Highlands,

Here you will go for a short hike in the mountains, marvelling at the gorgeous & scenic forests, waterfalls & nature.

You will spend a lovely evening camping here for the night.

Get up early with the sunrise & travel west into the capital city of Harare. Here you will stop and enjoy lunch if you choose (at your own expense).

You will then leave Harare and continue to Chinoyi and your next overnight stop. Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the stunning surrounding wilderness.

Take a short walk this morning to an ancient Mashona dwelling before decending into the Zambezi Valley and Lake Kariba.

You will enjoy a boat cruise on the lake and return to camp on the shore.

After you have explored the town of Kariba, you will cross the dam wall to enter Zambia.

You will then travel to Gwabi where the Kafue & mighty Zambezi Rivers meet.

Spend the afternoon preparing for tomorrow's exciting canoe trip before setting up camp for the night.

Today is when you embark on the exciting canoe trip on the Zambezi, a river with many inhabitants such as crocodile and hippo.

Begin the adventure in Gwabi and go along the river past Mana Pools, paddling at your own pace.

Spend the next two days exploring the wildlife & bird-watching before camping on islands each night.

The trip ends at Chongwe River where you will transfer by boat overnight to Gwabi camp.

Another early morning, gets you up and to travel through Zambia via Livingstone, catching the maginificent view of the legendary Victoria Falls before crossing the Railway Bridge to Zimbabwe.

You will be free to walk around and explore tthe curio stalls & the rest of the town.

You will spend 2 nights at Drifter's Victoria Falls Lodge - allowing you the opportunity to participate in a day of white-water rafting below the Falls (at your own expense).

You will also eat at a restaurant on one of these nights (at your won expense).

Sadly, today you will depart from the lively town of Victoria Falls but head for the spectacular bush camp in Hwange.

Spend the afternoon and evening going on exciting open-vehicle game drives and walks, tracking gers of game popular in this area.

You will stay overnight in the camp.

Get up early after a yummy breakfast before heading to Bulawayo and onward to the campsituated on the boulders of Matobo.

In the afternoon, you will set out on a game drive and rhino tracking on foot in Matobo National Park, before returning to camp for an excellent meal at a local restaurant (own expense).

Begin the hjourney back home, cross the border back into South Africa and travel the short distance to your camp that is positioned in a private reserve in the Kalahari sandveld.

You will spend the afternoon unwinding, checking out bushman paintings and soaking up the African sights and sounds.

A relaxed start this morning, pack up camp and drive south to Johannesburg, arriving in the early afternoon. This is the end of your tour.
