What to Buy in Zimbabwe

Probably the best curios to buy in Zimbabwe are the stone carvings of the Shona people.

It is probably better, if slightly less convenient, to buy directly from the artists than from the large roadside stalls you'll find in the country, which are simply middlemen in the curio supply chain. Do take care to check the quality of the carving before you buy it.

You'll also find some excellent leather products and beadwork in Zimbabwe, especially in the market at Harare.
