Ruckomechi Camp is situated on the western boundary of the Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. The chalets and main camp buildings are sheltered by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees, and the thatched bar, dining and lounge area overlooks the scenic Zambezi River.
During the day you are spoilt for choice with the option of game drives in 4x4 vehicles, guided bush walks, boating and canoeing on the river, as well as fishing. If you just want to relax, then slip into the plunge pool or relax in the acacia grove with a book.
Predators including lion, wild dog, leopard, and cheetah are often sighted, large concentrations of buffalo can be found along the river's edge and elephant take advantage of the plentiful albida trees in the area. Bird watching tends to be good, with the river attracting large numbers of waterfowl.
Ruchomechi Camp brings you close to the wildlife of the World Heritage Site of Mana Pools National Park in a tranquil and scenic setting.
