Mutirikwi National Park

Scottish for a channel of water, Kyle is the second largest dam in Zimbabwe after Kariba. Years of drought have hit hard and the lake's capacity has shrunk, making water sports unfeasible.

But the 18,000 hectare Mutirikwe National Park forms a stirring landscape of granite, aloe plants and giant cacti. White rhinos wander the game reserve and San paintings daub the rocks
