The Sebakwe River forms the southern border of the privately owned Midlands conservancy made up of eighteen farms.

The 100,000 hectares of privately owned bush has been given over to the conservation and protection of the black rhino. There are no other major mammal species here.

The Sebakwe Dam is set on 9,000 hectares outside Kwekwe and provides the city and surrounding farms with water and related outdoor pursuits such as boating, fishing and bird-watching.

National Park lodges and camp sites enable overnight stays.
