Umfurudzi Safari Area

Umfurudzi is a little visited wilderness area north of the Mazowe River, with elephants, lions, and other game.

You will also find ancient rock art and old Shona and Portuguese forts.

There are no facilities in these dry and lonely hills but the nearby Hippo Pools budget resort arranges guided walks and game drives into the area.
