About Me

I was born and raised in Cape Town, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
I am extrovert at heart and have a passion for the tourism industry and travel in general. Every opportunity I have to travel I take by the horns as adventure is what sets my soul on fire. I love exploring, meeting new people and anything that sparks an adrenaline rush excites me. I also love spending quality time with my family and friends, and relaxing at the beach.

Where I have travelled

In May 2016, I was privileged to be sent on a 10-day trip to explore Sun CityMadikwe Private Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park where we visited some of the best private concessions. Here we saw the Big 5 amid plenty of plains game and enjoyed a nature walk in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve.

I have also travelled quite extensively through South Africa and have seen most of Southern Africa. In 2014, I did a self-drive holiday through the Garden Route, where I got to visit the Cape Winelands, Hermanus, Oudtshoorn, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. After that, I also visited Chobe in BotswanaZambia and Zimbabwe, where I saw the Victoria Falls for the first time, a highlight in my travels. I have also visited the Pilanesberg National Park.

My favourite travel moment

There are so many it is very hard to choose and, of course, in each of my travels I have experienced a moment that I will treasure for a lifetime. One of my favourite experiences was when I visited The Elephant Camp in Zimbabwe and got to meet Sylvester the cheetah during a one-on-one interaction with this beautiful animal.

What I love about Africa

Absolutely everything! What is not to love? I feel that Africa is such a diverse continent and offers something different and unique. Here you can experience so many things from incredible culture to beautiful beaches; our fauna and flora; at least two of the natural wonders of the world (Table Mountain and Victoria Falls); mountains and – of course – safari!. Once you visit Africa it teaches you to be humble, and you fall in love with your surroundings. The people you meet are always welcoming and the hospitality is always heart-warming.

My best African travel advice

Open your mind and heart to enjoy and appreciate your surroundings; just relax and just take in the beauty of what this continent has to offer.
