About me

I was born in the North West province where I developed my love for animals and sports at an early age. It was here where I fell in love with the soft murmurings of thunder in the distance and the smell of the African soil after a massive thunderstorm.

At the age of 10, my family moved to the beautiful wine country in the Western Cape where my eyes were opened to another one of South Africa’s stunning landscapes and all the natural beauty that surrounds us. I completed my studies at the University of Stellenbosch before moving to Cape Town to start my career in auditing and accounting.
I lived in Scotland for 2 glorious years where I truly fell in love with travelling, exploring, and experiencing the different cultures the world has to offer! The beat of the African drum called me back to the heart of Cape Town where I currently enjoy spending my time relaxing with family and friends on one of our many wine farms or sandy beaches.

Where have I travelled

In South Africa, I have travelled throughout the Western Cape, the Garden Route and some areas of the Eastern Cape and KwaZula Natal. I have been on safari in the Sabi Sands Reserve and travelled to Zimbabwe to experience one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls.

During my 2 years living in the UK, I travelled throughout Scotland and England.

My favourite travel moment

One of my favourite travel moments was when I went swimming in Angel Pool on the edge of Victoria Falls feeling the spray from the powerful Zambezi river on my face and looking up at the rainbow above.

A second favourite was on safari in the Sabi Sands when I got to see a leopard up close while marking his territory and seeing the mutual trust and respect between the animals and the park rangers.

What I love about Africa

The natural beauty of our continent and the amazing animals we have the privilege to see up close in their natural environments.

Where I’d love to go next

The more you travel, the more places you realise you still want to see! I would love to travel to East Africa or relax on the beaches in the Seychelles.
