About Me

I was born and still live in Cape Town. I don’t think I would want to live anywhere else at this point in my life. After I completed my schooling I studied Travel & Tourism at one of our tertiary institutions. I was grateful to join Go2Africa after I completed my studies and, many years later, I am still here!

I am a very family-orientated person and love being around friends as well. I enjoy being out in nature and experiencing what Cape Town as to offer. I love travelling to places I have not seen before, in this way I experience different cultures.

Where I have travelled

I have visited the Kruger National Park, Sun City, Madikwe Private Game Reserve, the Garden Route, Durban and Johannesburg. Weekends away to hidden gems around Cape Town is what I enjoy the most.

In Southern Africa, I had the pleasure of seeing Victoria Falls (from both the Zimbabwean and Zambian sides) and Botswana. I journeyed on an 11-day trip that went from experiencing the Falls to enjoying a mokoro boat ride in the Okavango Delta. I would love to return in the near future.

Internationally, I have been to Canada to spend time with my family. I loved every second of that trip and I can’t wait to return.

What I love about Africa

I love that Africa has many diverse countries. Each country tells a story of its own regarding history, people and culture. I love that we can enjoy safaris, beach holidays and gorilla trekking all on one continent.

My best African travel advice

Keep an open mind when travelling and don’t be afraid to visit places you have never been to before. There is so much to see and take in. Africa is a true bucket-list destination. Travel as much as you can, it makes you richer in knowledge and life. Just one beautiful moment can change you for a lifetime.

My favourite travel moment

There are so many unique and inspiring moments. My favourite moment was when a few colleagues and I were on a light aircraft flight and departed Kasane and flew over parts of Okavango Delta. I am afraid of small planes but that was the most beautiful and mesmerizing experience.
