One of Cape Town’s most exclusive residential suburbs, Llandudno is nestled in a fold of coastline at the end of Table Mountain's Twelve Apostles range. Home to a stunning, secluded beach with popular surf breaks and set only 15km from the centre of Cape Town, this tranquil locale is the perfect holiday retreat.
While Llandudno does not have any shops or restaurants, next-door Hout Bay is a delightful fishing village bustling with good restaurants and boutiques as well as ocean activities. Take an unforgettable trip to Seal Island to see Cape fur seals at play and - in season - breaching southern right whales. For motorists, nearby Chapman’s Peak Drive offers incredible views as does the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a popular destination for fantastic walks and beautiful, footprint-free beaches.
This stylish villa is perfect for discerning guests, groups of friends or families who are looking for the luxurious comforts of home in a spectacular beach setting, far enough away from Cape Town to enjoy a dose of tranquillity but close enough to enjoy the Mother City's highlights.
Best time to visit
Cape Town sees long, hot summer days and balmy nights from November to March and you can expect busy beaches and overflowing restaurants during the peak December and January months. February and March enjoy hot, dry weather without the crowds while April and May often serve up 'champagne days' of clear, windless skies and dazzling sunshine.
The June to September winter months experience cooler days with regularly spaced intervals of rain but are ideal to explore the cultural side of the city or to spend time in the tasting cellars of the Cape Winelands.
