Abbey Manor Luxury Guesthouse

Abbey Manor, at the foot of Table Mountain, has a classic old-world charm, bedrooms decorated with drapes and chandeliers. Amazing views of Table Mountain and a great selection of breakfasts, catering for every need. The lounge downstairs is always open with an honesty bar for their guests to enjoy. It is an owner run property creating a home away from home feeling.

In Cape Town, we loved the Abbey Manor Guesthouse. Lovely place, lovely people. A bit removed from tourist areas, but that was fine with us. We used Uber a lot. What a fabulous city. We had memorable meals at the Pot Luck Club and Savoy Cabbage restaurants.

We loved Abbey Manor in Cape Town – Judi and Samantha are just the best.

Thank you for all your help in planning this fabulous trip, all of our accommodations were very nice (loved the Abbey Manor & Judi gave us the little stand-alone cottage) & all of the flights and transfers went very smoothly.

Walking into the guest house made me feel as if I was arriving home. It’s so homely you feel like you can kick off your shoes, sit back and relax or enjoy sipping on hot chocolate next to the fire!

We arrived home today and wanted to say thank you for your efforts in arranging our trip. During our stay in Cape Town we had a guide to show us the local sites as well as the surrounding areas, though Table Mountain had to be missed due to the constant rain and low clouds. Note, Abbey manor had agreed to keep their luggage while they went on safari and even allowed for a 20h00 check out on their day of departute – far surpassed expectations.

Cape Town reminded me of where I grew up, San Diego, California USA. The city, waterfront, weather, and many other specifics about it was very similar to San Diego. Therefore, I felt right at home. Overall, Cape Town was wonderful. It is a city I hope to return to and spend some additional time in.

Abbey Manor was more than I expected and the staff there were very helpful. The location is very intimate, close enough to great restaurants and far enough from the noise. They supplied excellent breakfast.

Abbey Manor was lovely, and Judi the manager was so helpful. She done all she could to enable us to enjoy and get as much pleasure out of our stay.

The beautiful guesthouse was pleasant. The food was great and even more so the view. The staff were lovely, helpful and kind.

I loved Cape Town and would move there in a second. The Abbey Manor was excellent and you are right about Judy – she is great. The other person working there was Angela and she was great too. They were both so helpful and the bed and breakfast itself was extremley nice.

What a city! What a metropolis! We weren’t expecting tit! That is not Africa!!! At least not the Africa that we are used to. We had a great time during our wonderful 6 day vacation. We’ve seen it all: the Vineyards, Cape Point, Robben Island, Table Mountain, Camps Bay, Bantry Bay, the Waterfront, the City Center, the Garden…The penguins and the seals… How did it all end up there: you are really blessed!!! The girls just went crazy with all the shops… We are now official fans of Cape Town (a city we all would love to live in!) The host Judi made our stay in Cape Town even better. She was always there for us, giving her advice and phone calling every one. A real great host!!!

Cape Town was great, we enjoyed the Waterfront in the evenings and our drive to Cape Point was stunning. The only disappointment was the cable car, it was closed because of high winds. Therefore we didn’t get to go on Table Mountain but we still we went to Signal Hill and had a wonderful view . Judi was great at Abbey Manor, we really recommend them.

l would like to start by saying that Abbey Manor was a great location to move around from and we throughly enjoyed the “homey-comfortable” atmosphere. We went everywhere possible during our stay, even to the end as well as over to the island.

The Abbey Manor was extremley nice and very hospitable.

The staff at Abbey Manor are so wonderful. We felt like we were visiting a family member from the time we entered. Judi of Abbey Manor and the rest of her team are very accommodating and warm. We truly enjoyed our stay!

It is a charming property in an excellent location for all activities. Staff members Russell and Judy were fabulous hosts.

The absolute highlight of my trip was Cape Town and The Abbey Manor Hotel. Judy was a fantastic hostess and I can’t praise her and the guest house enough. She was a constant source of great information and was an absolute pleasure to be around. Cliff and I just dutifully did as she advised for the entire time and because of that had a wonderful stay in Cape Town. We then had an amazing night in Franshoek at a winery that Judy recommended, in fact I must get on to her and let her know how much we loved it. I promised I would! Further the 4 fantastic days on the garden route.

It was perfect! What a great location and beautiful house. It is within walking distance to the centre and of course it has the great view !

We had a fantastic holiday. Abbey Manor accommodation is absolutely terrific, from their friendly welcome to the day we left, it was great. Judi was brilliant, what a fantastic person.
