Per Person Sharing
Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (Zanzibar)
Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge is the perfect beachside getaway to relax and recover from a safari adventure in one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations, like the Masai Mara or Serengeti. Found on the tropical island of Unguja in Zanzibar, Chuini provides guests with a piece of paradise that is surrounded by palm trees and the warm Indian Ocean water.
What makes this beach lodge unique is its incredible location. The property is built around a century-old historical palace ruins – leftover from the bygone age of the sultans – providing a stark comparison to the lodge's whitewashed walls and modern architecture. History meets modern living at Chuini, providing a beach escape that is incomparable.
While staying at Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a wealth of exciting activities. Dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean for some world-class snorkelling and scuba diving, where vibrant coral reefs teem with marine life.
For those seeking a more relaxed experience, sunbathe on the lodge’s private beach, or unwind by the inviting infinity pool with a refreshing cocktail in hand. Take a leisurely stroll through the lodge’s lush gardens and discover the ancient ruins of a Persian Princess’ palace, steeped in history and charm. To delve deeper into Zanzibar’s rich cultural heritage, explore the nearby Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can wander through narrow alleyways, visit spice markets, and learn about the island’s cultural tapestry.

Designed in a variety of configurations and all offering breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean, the Superior Bungalows are stylish, modern and spacious. Each thatched bungalow is furnished with contemporary beach-inspired décor and comprises a king-sized bed with en-suite bathroom, lounge area and a terrace overlooking the ocean – the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee.
The Premium Bungalows have a similar layout and are a similar size to the Superior Bungalows, but these rooms are much more exclusive. Situated right on the beach, guests can wake up, open the door and step out onto the powder-soft sand. The highlight of the Premium Bungalows is undoubtedly the butler service, available on request with 24-hour notice.
When not exploring the streets of Stone Town or catching a tan on the paradisical beach, there is plenty to keep you entertained at the lodge. Cool off from the heat and enjoy poolside service in one of the two swimming pools, overlooking spectacular views of the ocean below.
Relax and unwind with an aroma massage in the spa – a unique structure integrated into the old ruins. Pass the time with a variety of board games, playing cards or the billiard table. And if you're in the mood for a bit of exercise, yoga classes and private yoga lessons are available on request. End your day off with stargazing on the rooftop of the minaret in the Sultan's Lounge or enjoy a move at the open-air cinema.
Guests are spoilt for choice with the many dining options on offer. Chuini Restaurant serves first-class international and local cuisine, with a dash of Zanzibar spice and flavour to set your tastebuds alight. Specialising in fish and seafood caught fresh from the sea, all meals are excellently complemented by a selection of wines.
If you're not in the mood for seafood, the Blue Bay Grill Restaurant and Pizzeria, as well as Ocean Breeze Restaurant are great alternatives. A selection of set menus offers a variety of delicious grills, all freshly prepared, ad woodfire oven pizza.
Private romantic dinners among the ruins on the beach can also be arranged for those wanting a unique experience.
