"Cliff Lodge had outstanding hospitality and service plus our room there has a balcony with the most amazing view of the ocean."

"Cliff Lodge - Terrific! We got lucky with the weather for this one and saw whales and were able to take the walk along the dunes."

Cliff Lodge looked very unpromising on arrival, a characterless area and a very suburban quietness. BUT the Ocean Suite was a great antidote to our room at the last lodge we stayed at and we loved the open aspect, the sea, the cliffs / shore which we walked along for hours. Gideon and Jill were very attentive and fantastically helpful in suggesting day trips to suit our interests and preferences and we absolutely loved the scenery we drove through, both coastal and inland mountains and farm areas. He lent us a bird book too. And on our last morning we saw a whale with calf :) A real bonus!

"Cliff Lodge was an especially inspired choice, the location was stunning, of course, but the warmth and hospitality of the hosts Gideon and Gill and their staff were equally exceptional."

"Cliff House was pleasant and the hosts couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed the views of the Ocean. They had made reservations at a little dining venue which caters to B & B guests which was a nice experience."

We were given the bridal suite which is enormous and very well appointed, we could not fault Cliff Lodge. In every way possible, Gideon and Gill are exceptional hosts who really care about their guests. Breakfast was excellent - the only place in S.A where we had fresh orange juice [Ian's favourite, opens his eyes in the morning] Staff are very well trained. A wonderful experience.
