Overview of Olmara Camp
Lying on the Eastern plains in the Soit le Motonyi region of the Serengeti, Olmara Camp is an exquisitely designed, eco-friendly tented camp that offers an unsurpassed display of the rich wildlife and untamed natural beauty that this region of Tanzania is known for.
Being fully solar powered, Olmara Camp leaves a light footprint on the environment and strives to blend with its surrounding environment. Each tented suite is under canvas, seamlessly blending into an ancient grove of acacias, and boasts endless vistas of the sublime grassy plains and the Ngare Nanyuki river valley.
The camp is unfenced and located in a unique expanse of the Serengeti that is unspoiled, wild, and remote – and with this isolation comes the opportunity to witness the resident predators, such as lions, cheetahs and spotted hyena as they plot on their prey. Your sightings are not limited to predator-prey interactions, however, as the wealth and diversity of wildlife in this area of the Serengeti offers year-round game viewing of the highest quality. Morning and afternoon drives are augmented by guided walks, hot-air balloon safaris and overnight fly camping experiences that immerses you into the sounds of the African savanna.
Lastly, a definite highlight of Olmara Camp is its stargazer tents, where you can comfortably recline on large cushions and fall asleep under the open rooftops, with a dazzling ceiling of stars as your view.
