Ellerman Villa Two is the younger, sexier sister villa to stately Ellerman House – widely considered Cape Town’s finest hotel – and the chic Ellerman Villa One.

Built over three levels, its three en suite bedrooms, open-plan living areas and infinity swimming pool all have private terraces with jaw-dropping views of the azure Atlantic Ocean and the crescent sandy beaches of Clifton below.

Located in the prestigious neighbourhood of Bantry Bay, Ellerman Villa Two has an incredible helix-inspired staircase hand-forged from stainless steel that links the 7 500-bottle Ellerman House wine cellar on the lowest level to the living and sleeping areas above. The interactive designer kitchen is the realm of your private chef, who will effortlessly whip up anything from your children's favourite breakfast treats to sunset cocktails and canapés. The kitchen has a walk-in cold room and a separate scullery, and can be sealed off from the dining area completely. Beyond the kitchen and living areas is the private cinema for relaxing nights in. If you prefer not to catch a movie, enjoy a brandy tasting or take a tour of the champagne cellar, which is stocked exclusively with vintage Dom Pérignon.

Twenty-first century chic meets international, understated glamour at Villa Two. Tones are muted and take their cue from the pale turquoise of the ocean horizon. Blond woods, touches of steel and warm earth monochromes combine to set off the original contemporary artworks. The emphasis is on both comfort and style; neither has been sacrificed here.
