With Garonga, we really liked the tracker and driver we had, so they made the experience even better. And our whole time at Garonga was truly excellent. It really was the best experience of all the places we stayed at on this trip.
WOW!! Garonga Safari Camp offers so much more than game drives to their guests. If you dare, have a bush bath out in the open or enjoy a microlight flight over the Makalali Game Reserve for a different kind of game viewing experience. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing and tracking the lions was the best part of my stay.
Garonga is terrific.
had a great time
Garonga was an amazing time. We really didn’t know what to expect, but we had the experience of a lifetime. On our first full day we sat on the porch of our tent and watched elephants, antelope, a giraffe and a lion at the watering hole. I must admit I had a hard time sleeping because animals were nearby grazing all night and I am a light sleeper. Hearing a lion next to your tent at night was something else. I was able to catch up on sleep during the afternoon break though so it was worth it. We saw so many animals and got great pictures. Again the staff and lodging at Garonga was great. The breakfast and lunch were also wonderful. The dinners were only average. Lindsay and I do not like game meat which was served for dinner most nights. After the first night we made them aware of our meat preferences and each day they would offer an alternative.
