Overview of Gomoti Private Camp

Botswana, Okavango Delta

Named after the river it borders, Gomoti Plains Camp lies in a pristine concession of the famous Okavango Delta.  Canvas tents set on raised decks provide safari experience that pairs modern-day comforts with superb land- and water-based game viewing opportunities.

The variety of animal species and size of herds in the area is unparalleled, with frequent sightings of elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion and African wild dog. There are also extensive water activities on offer; the mokoro being the transport of choice for exploring the waterways. Sitting in these dugout canoes provides travellers with a completely different perspective of this biologically diverse area.

As Gomoti is located inside a private concession, guests can look forward to night drives and off-road game viewing in addition to the traditional game drives, cultural experiences, guided walks, mokoro trips and river cruises. And don't forget the unique viewing experience you'll have when flying in and out of the delta.

Spend the afternoon getting lost in a book from Gomoti's private library, learning more about the myths, legends and history on which the local land was built. Booking a massage or facial guarantees absolute serenity as one of the camp's therapists takes you on a journey of relaxation. Before the day is over, make a turn at the curio shop to procure a memento of your safari adventure. As the sun sets over Africa, grab a chilled beverage from the bar and gather around the fire pit in the dining and social area to recall stories from the day's activities.
