Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Lusaka)
Time + Tide Kakuli is situated on the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa rivers in the South Luangwa National Park. The concentration of game in the world-renowned Luangwa Valley is among the densest in Africa.
This section of the park has over 60 different animal species, so a combination of walking safaris and game drives is the ideal way to see a variety of wildlife. Another worthwhile activity is bird watching from the camp’s hide: the area has over 400 bird species.

Kakuli Bush Camp offers cuisine of the highest standards and the camp’s chef is able to cater for almost any dietary needs, with advance notice. Days in the bush usually start early, so a light breakfast is served at dawn before your first safari.
The camp then serves a lavish brunch, afternoon tea and dinner at around 8.30pm.
An intimate, authentic reed & thatch bush camp, the staff were lovely and seeing lions on the riverbank below was a highlight; I'd recommend combining Kakuli with one of its sister camps to get a great diverse experience. .
