Kwara Camp
Kwara Camp is located in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delta within the private Kwara Concession. Offering only eight traditionally-styled safari tents, Kwara is an exclusive and intimate camp offering access to both the permanent waterways of the Delta and open grasslands teeming with wildlife.
Guests at Kwara can enjoy a diverse range of wildlife experiences all year round; glide silently through crystal-clear waterways in a mokoro (dug-out canoe), enjoy sunset powerboat rides, go bird watching, take a walk on one of the many palm-fringed islands (seasonal), or head out on an exciting day or night game drive.

With beautiful views over the seasonal floodplain or the lagoon, each tent is classically decorated with Zimbabwean teak furniture that pays homage to an authentic safari style. Bathrooms are en suite and equipped with flush toilets, double vanities and outdoor showers. Private verandas feature deck chairs, perfect for sitting back and soaking in the wonderful views.
The central camp area houses a safari shop, lounge and bar where you can relax in comfort between activities. Raised on wooden decks, the tented lounge and bar integrate leadwood and mangosteen into their design and offer a vantage onto the lagoon.
A small plunge pool provides you with a place to escape the afternoon heat, while the elevated viewing hide provides an ideal place to enjoy wildlife viewing. Laundry facilities are available and can be arranged on request.

Days at Kwara begin with a selection of porridge, cereals, muffins and biscuits accompanied by tea, juice or coffee, served around the campfire.
Following the morning outing, a hearty brunch provides the choice of a cooked breakfast or alternative hot meal, with salads, fruit and home-made bread, while afternoon high tea offers a range of sweet and savoury snacks. Dinner features a hearty arrangement of meat and vegetable dishes.
There is an informal and relaxed approach to dining at Kwara: you are encouraged to helpself yourself to coffee or drinks, which are available around-the-clock.

Accommodation was better than expected. We had a great guide (Tom) and the best tracker ever (KB). Game drivers were great and the wetlands make for a really exciting drive experience.
Our safari trip to Lagoon and Kwara was excellent thank you! We saw all of the big 5, fantastic
Kwara was different again and very rustic which was just lovely and our tent was up on stilts overlooking the plain with lots of lovely trees surrounding it.We had a wonderful guide. About 200 metres from camp was lioness and three cubs with a kudu kill so that was amazing. We sat and watched for a while and then off again as two cheetah brothers had been sighted. We were just blown away at all the wildlife in such a short time – just amazing. Words just don't seem to be able to describe our feelings.
