Embark on an authentic African wilderness safari, situated along the banks of the Kweene River surrounded by 30,000 hectares of private conservancy at the Abu Private Reserve in Botswana. The camp forms part of the Kweene River Trails mobile safari expedition and offers a remote escape to an unexplored territory of the Okavango Delta.

Kweene River Camps provides an unforgettable safari experience that supports conservation efforts with low-impact luxury tents. As an exclusive free-roaming reserve, you'll be able to walk alongside the wilderness that surrounds you, witnessing large herds of animals grazing in the grasslands right at your doorstep. You'll discover the seasonally flooded portion of the Kweene River floodplains and the variety of wildlife that congregate for a cool drink of water.

This all-inclusive safari experience invites you to enjoy an assortment of bush adventures—from your first day with a late afternoon game drives that culminate in sundowners to navigating the expanse of the reserve on foot, by vehicle, or by mokoro (usually a combination of the three), to a restful night amidst the majesty of Botswana's wilderness.

Tents

You’ll find sanctuary in the privacy of your mobile camp lodgings. Airy and spacious canvas tents invite you to set up camp for the night with the simplistic luxury of a hanging wardrobe to store your belongings. A private en-suite bathroom comes with hot or cold safari-style bucket showers, as well as an eco-friendly compost loo. The walls of the tent are clear mesh with roll-up canvas, offering a panoramic closer-to-nature experience. Comfy camping beds are adorned with firm bedrolls and soft Egyptian cotton linen for a luxurious night’s rest.

The friendly team at Beagle Expeditions is ready to assist with all your mobile camping needs, including setting up the campsites ahead of your arrival. You'll be delighted to find a cozy chill-corner with scatter cushions, a complete tea and coffee station, and a well-stocked bar area. Grab a drink and share stories of the day’s adventures while settled around a freshly stoked fire. Guides are also at your disposal and will assist in tailoring the ultimate safari adventure, filled with your choice of bush walks, game drives, or mokoro excursions (season dependant).
