Overview of Lupita Island Lodge

Situated on a private island, on the incredible Lake Tanganyika, Lupita Island Lodge offers the ultimate in peaceful, shore-side relaxation. Ideal for romantics, the island accommodates a maximum of 28 guests to ensure an intimate and private stay. This 130-acre island is situated on Africa’s second largest lake and is an intimate and luxurious haven for those looking to relax and soak up the pristine Tanzanian environment.

Lupita Island Lodge is home to the rejuvenating Lupita Spa, where you can indulge in massages, steam treatments, and herbal body wraps. Go water skiing, and wind surfing, or on self-guided kayak or canoe trips to find some of the hidden beaches along the shores. Snorkelling and scuba diving will give you the opportunity to explore beneath this crystal clear surface to admire the thriving marine life.

All the rooms at Lupita Island Lodge are exquisitely appointed, spacious and feature one side that is completely open for you to enjoy the view.

Each room has a private deck and terrace with a plunge pool on the one side and an outside bathtub on the other. The en suite bathroom also boasts an incredible waterfall shower.

The suites at Lupita Island offer additional space and are ideal for families or two couples travelling together. The suites feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as all the amenities of the double rooms.
