Standard Room

Standard Double Rooms offer respite after a long-haul flight, with plump beds adorned with soft pillows and draped in mosquito netting. Each room is decorated with colourful rugs and wicker furnishings to create a homely vibrance. The en-suite bathroom is complete with a walk-in shower, while sliding doors lead to a verandah where you can enjoy a quiet sanctuary. Ample cupboard space and an armoire allow you to settle into your private space.

    What a wonderful place. The pictures on line do not do it justice. It was awesome and we loved loved loved Mau the resident cat. I would definitely stay there again it was beautiful and peaceful.

    Two nights at the Macushla was a good idea, since we arrived so late in the evening. It’s worth staying there just to witness the furnishings. My first thought was “African Eclectic”. The owner was very helpful in assisting us arrange for a guide to take us to the Giraffe Center, Karen Blixen’s House and the Kazuri Bead Factory.

    I know you always recommend staying at the Macushla House in Karen and you always should. What a lovely small hotel it is. Wonderful hospitality. A special thanks to Peter and Stephen. We stayed there before and after the safari, walked over to visit with the giraffes at the Giraffe Center, and toured the area sights and shops.

    Off to Makushla house in Nairobi then with dinner at Carnivore! we were picked up by David and Benson who told us to be ready for 6.30 the following morning. Macushla House is lovely, wish we could have spent longer here!
