Overview of Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp

Tanzania, Serengeti

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp lies at the heart of the Serengeti National Park, providing easy access to the prime wildlife spots of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River, the southern grass plains and the Seronera Valley. Scenically located in a glade guarded by 3 million year old granite towers, Mbuzi Mawe makes maximum use of its unique wilderness location – along one of the main annual wildebeest migration corridors, where you can enjoy a ringside seat to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth.

The camp offers game drives, ranger-led bush walks, hot-air balloon rides and even ornithology talks, while the delightful al fresco breakfasts, lantern-lit bush dinners, campfire roasts and traditional Ikoma dance displays add a unique and special touch to a safari at Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp. Ideal for families, Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp can provide adjacent tents for families, extra beds and cots, as well as baby sitting, high chairs and fun educational activities to keep the youngsters entertained.

I would recommend Mbuzi Mawe to anyone. Clean, attentive staff, luxury tents and first class food. Also very close to all the game.

Mbuzi Mawe was fabulous and luxurious. We met two young staff members – a chef named Peter and a waiter in training named Jackson, these two young men helped us to have a fabulous private dinner for our 2 year anniversary. They were truly wonderful! The manager at Mbuzi Mawe – his name escapes me at the moment but he and his assistant Elliata were also wonderful. We had a problem with our shower and they more than made up for it. The staff really knew how to take care of their guests. We also had amazing massages at Mbuzi Mawe! We were sad to leave!!!
