Overview of Misava Safari Camp
South Africa, Kruger Private Reserves
Set on the banks of the Klaserie River in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Misava Safari Camp combines a riverside setting with easy access to the wildlife of the Greater Kruger. The camp looks across the river and surrounding bushveld, with wildlife often visible from the lodge and viewing areas.
Game drives head out each morning and afternoon, while guided bush walks provide a closer look at the smaller details of the reserve. Back at camp, the river-facing pool, viewing deck and open-air spaces make it easy to enjoy the surroundings between activities.
Misava Safari Camp is particularly well suited to couples, honeymooners and families, with interconnecting suites and a two-bedroom villa providing flexible options for different groups. Children from six years are welcome, while exclusive-use arrangements can also be made for specialist safaris, family gatherings and groups travelling together.

Garden Suite
The Garden Suites retain the traditional shape of the camp’s original rondavels, with thatched roofs, natural décor and private decks overlooking the gardens. En-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and tea and coffee facilities provide the essentials for a comfortable stay, while interconnecting suites make them a practical option for families travelling together.
River View Suite
The River View Suites look across the Klaserie River, with thatched roofs, natural wooden furniture and earthy tones complementing the setting. Private decks, indoor and outdoor showers and air-conditioning add comfort, while twin or king configurations give couples and honeymooners flexibility.
River View Suite (Plunge Pool & Rooftop Starbed)
Set along the river ridge, the River View Villas have separate bedroom and living areas, private plunge pools and rooftop starbeds. Indoor fireplaces and indoor and outdoor showers add comfort, while the elevated position gives guests wide views across the river and surrounding bush.
Two Bedroom River View Villa
The two-bedroom River View Villa is designed for families or small groups, with two en-suite bedrooms joined by a private living area. A plunge pool, outdoor boma and rooftop starbed make the most of its position above the Klaserie River.
General Facilities
Much of the camp’s shared space looks towards the Klaserie River. The wooden verandah combines an infinity pool, day beds and dining areas, while the viewing deck overlooks a busy watering hole where wildlife comes down to drink. The open-air bar and boma provide places to sit out and enjoy the bushveld views.
For quieter moments, the lounge and library provide somewhere to read or take a break between game drives. In-room spa treatments can also be arranged, while the camp’s outdoor spaces offer views of the river and surrounding bush even when you’re not out on safari.

Dining at Misava Safari Camp combines South African and international influences, with local ingredients used throughout the menus. Breakfasts can be enjoyed overlooking the river, while dinners around the fire make the most of the bush setting.
Indoor dining and two outdoor decks provide different settings for meals, with dietary requirements including plant-based, gluten-free, halal and child-friendly options catered for.
