Located on a secluded wetlands island, Monachira Camp offers front-row seats to the Delta's vibrant tapestry of wildlife. Birds and elephants gather at the water's edge of the Monachira Channel, with birds nesting in overhanging trees while elephants cool themselves by spraying trunks full of water. Dragonflies flit over the reeds, and the gentle ripple of the channel provides a soothing backdrop to this living landscape.

Surrounded by the Moremi Game Reserve, this more remote section is renowned for its water-based safaris, including canoeing expeditions that allow you to experience the ecosystem up close as you navigate the Delta's meandering channels. The reserve is also home to the Big Five, which can be spotted on carefully guided game drives.
