Motswiri Private Safari Lodge
Per Person Sharing
Motswiri Private Safari Lodge offers an exclusive bush experience in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, a private conservation area lying on the edge of the Kalahari. The thatched lodge and the five private villas are built in and around a thicket of mature leadwood trees, incorporating them into the rustic architecture of the lodge. Your schedule of activities revolves around your needs and those of your group, and Motswiri’s attentive staff will do their best to meet all your requests.
The early morning and late afternoon/early evening game drives, accompanied by a knowledgeable game ranger, are an opportunity to spot the Big 5 and learn more about this unique environment. Motswiri Private Safari Lodge can be booked individually or can be booked for the exclusive use of a family or a group of up to 10 friends who wish to have the whole place to themselves.

There are five air-conditioned villas set around the main lodge, each with a private viewing deck. Each en suite room is equipped with a bathtub and outdoor shower, while gas fireplaces are provided for those chilly winter nights.
Families with young children may prefer to use the spacious, three-bedroomed Family Suite.
The elegant, thatched main lodge encompasses a lounge, dining room and comfortable bar area, all with their own roaring fireplace in winter. The lodge opens onto a wrap-around wooden deck with seating and a refreshing rim-flow swimming pool.
Laze around the swimming pool or relax on the deck during the heat of the day but keep an eye out: the deck overlooks a waterhole frequented by elephant families and other big game species.

Your meals at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge consist of a mid-morning brunch served after your game drive followed by high tea before your afternoon activity and then dinner on your return.
Dinners are served under the African sky around a blazing campfire or in the cosy dining room in front of the fireplace.
What a perfect family lodge in the African bush! The views of elephants playing near the waterhole while I sipped on a glass of wine had to have been one of my favourite moments on safari.

Nice camp and great game viewing.
Totally awesome, great people, meals and all the snacks were awesome. We saw the big 5. Lots of animals watered outside of our lodge it was awesome, I’d go back. .
Motswiri Private Safari Lodge was the highlight of our trip. The lodge itself was magnificent. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. From the rose petals, chocolates and champagne scattered throughout our room, to the amazing meals prepared both on the game drives and in the lodge itself, our stay was carefree and enjoyable. The game drives were exceptional; we were lucky to see the big 5 (Leopard included!!). Andre (our guide) ensured each experience we had was not only exciting but memorable. We highly recommend anyone planning a safari to visit Madikwe; and more importantly to book themselves into Motswiri!

Motswiri was amazing as was the entire safari experience – we’d definitely recommend that lodge to others.
