Set within the private NamibRand Nature Reserve, Mountain View Suite at Wolwedans offers an exclusive desert stay surrounded by some of Namibia’s most striking landscapes. With just one suite and space for two adults, it is a private base for exploring the reserve while enjoying the peace and scale of the desert.

The suite is situated at Desert Lodge and comes with its own lounge, dining area and kitchen, as well as a private host, chef, vehicle and guide. Days can be spent on scenic drives, guided desert walks or e-fat biking, while the suite’s star bed offers the chance to sleep beneath the Namibian night sky.

Mountain View Suite is particularly well suited to couples looking for privacy and a slower-paced desert escape. The reserve is open year-round, with cooler, drier conditions from July to September and warmer temperatures during the summer months. It also makes a great addition to a wider Namibia itinerary that includes Sossusvlei, the Namibian coast or other desert landscapes.

Private Suite

Set within the Desert Lodge area of Wolwedans, the Mountain View Suite is a private, exclusive-use tent for two adults. The suite includes a separate lounge, dining area and kitchen, with wide views across the desert landscape. An outdoor chiller pool provides a place to cool off during warmer days, while the star bed offers a different way to experience the reserve after dark.

Inside, an en-suite bathroom, minibar, fan and mosquito net provide the essentials for a comfortable stay without taking attention away from the setting. The suite is also equipped with indoor and outdoor showers and a private safe

General Facilities

Mountain View Suite gives you your own space to retreat to between outings, with a lounge, dining area, kitchen and outdoor chiller pool overlooking the desert. The private setting means you can spend the warmer parts of the day relaxing at the suite before heading out to explore.

A private host, chef, vehicle and guide are included with the suite, giving couples flexibility over how they spend their days. Scenic drives, guided desert walks and e-fat biking offer different ways to explore the NamibRand, while in-room massage and treatments are available when you want to slow down.

For something more informal, the Heart & Home Village Tour combines a behind-the-scenes look at Wolwedans’ organic garden and sustainability initiatives with brunch or lunch in the gardens.
