Nile Safari Lodge
Pakuba‚ Uganda (PAF - Pakuba Airport)
Overlooking the mighty Nile River and within Uganda’s Murchison Falls National Park, is the Nile Safari Camp.
Set amongst the rich papyrus forest on the southern banks of the Nile, it is close enough to see the elephants playing in the water and listen to the hippos grunting in the night.
Enjoy drinks from the bar or relax on the large wooden deck that provides beautiful views of the river and surrounding bush. Find respite from the heat of the day in the swimming pool and eventually end your day around an open fire, gazing at Africa’s starlit night sky.
Activities at the camp are numerous and include boats trips down the Nile and to the thundering Murchison Falls. Other options include game drives, walking safaris, cultural village excursions and fishing trips.

The Bandas at Nile Safari Lodge are spacious, elevated wooden structures with thatched roofs designed for natural temperature control and a sustainable approach to building materials. Inside, warm wooden interiors create a calming, contemporary atmosphere, with a comfortable lounge area that opens onto a private veranda—perfect for soaking up the sweeping views of the Nile riverside habitat.
Each Banda features a beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, indoor shower, and an outdoor rain shower for a refreshing experience in nature.
The Exclusive Banda offers Nile River views and a touch more privacy, making it a lovely option for couples. The Family Villa caters to larger groups and is great for families travelling with children. With two master bedrooms, the villa caters to four adults and up to four children.
The open-sided lounge and dining areas lead onto wide terraces and extensive wooden decks with comfortable seating from which to watch the Nile River flow past.
Inviting warm and chilled drinks are served at the Tamarind Bar, shaded by the giant tree after which it is named and on the suspended veranda that overlooks the expansive wilderness.
A dip in the lodge's swimming pool is a wonderful way to wash the heat of the day away, before relaxing around the camp fire under the African night sky.

I would say that Ishasha was my favorite camp with the Nile Safari Lodge a close second.
The setting was superb, the food excellent, the service wonderful. What a spectacular view both from the pool, room, and dining area! I love being near water and having the animals walk right out to drink, which happened every evening. Being above the Nile put all of that together into one place.
