Positioned on a scenic bend of the Luangwa River, Nsefu was the first Zambian photographic safari camp in the area. Set in the remote Nsefu area of the South Luangwa National Park, the camp offers the perfect location to deliver excellent game viewing and bird watching. Indeed, the main bar and lounge area is the best place to take in the scenic views and offers sensational game viewing without even leaving camp.
Morning, afternoon and night drives plus guided walking safaris provide ample opportunity to see Luangwa's wide variety of wildlife: elephant, lion and leopard are often spotted in the area, which also hosts the greatest density of hippo in Africa.
From mid-January to late March the Luangwa River floods but this allows access by boat into areas that are inaccessible at other times of the year and provides a unique game viewing experience. Another special experience at Nsefu is the overnight walking safari through Luangwa's most rewarding riverine areas to end at a fly camp - a simple bush camp that sleeps four people.
