Rhino Ridge is a luxury safari lodge set in one of South Africa's oldest and largest Big Five reserves. Established in 1895, Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park is considered the “home of the rhino,” world-renowned for its White Rhino conservation. A hidden gem, it offers intimate safaris and thriving populations of wildlife that have attracted local and international guests for decades.
A typical day begins with an early morning safari, traversing savannah biomes and rolling green hills, searching for the Big Five as well as the elusive African wild dog. Your game drive culminates in a coffee stop at a picturesque clearing. Upon returning to the lodge, indulge in an afternoon of sumptuous High Teas, relaxing massages, and sunbathing by the pool. Before dinner, set out on a sundowner game drive, journeying to a spot offering panoramic views of the park, where you can watch the sunset while sipping your cold beer.
Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park is a seasonally diverse reserve, known for year-round game viewing. May and September offer milder temperatures with greater predator activity during the daytime, while the hotter months from November to February are ideal for spotting newborns during the calving season. The lush green landscape swells with vibrant birdlife as migratory species arrive—an ideal time for avid birders to visit.

Safari Family Room
Safari Family Rooms offer more spacious accommodation for couples with children or friends on a safari getaway. Each features two generous bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, boasting showers with glass sliding doors that open onto private timber decks—offering a nature-enriched cleansing experience with maximum privacy. Step out onto your private deck and relax in the reclining chair, savouring views of the wild panorama.
Honeymoon Villa
The Honeymoon Villa offers a private and romantic retreat with sweeping views over Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park. Featuring a king-size or twin beds, the suite includes an elegant en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking bath, luxurious shower, and separate toilet. A private wooden deck with a plunge pool and fireplace invites quiet moments together, while thoughtful touches like air conditioning, an overhead fan, bathrobes, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities ensure comfort.

Upon returning from your early morning game drive, you'll be treated to a full continental buffet—a feast for the senses, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering uninterrupted views of the bush. High tea is served in the afternoons, and a delicious dinner welcomes you back from your sundowner game drive, topped off with sweet treats and an espresso to end the day. Halaal and vegetarian options are available on request.
