When Coupled with the lodge's simple wood-and-thatch-based architecture and minimalist design, this tranquil environment will have you feeling completely immersed in and connected to nature when staying at the lodge.
Your sense of immersion in nature is deepened by the wide range of activities that Sangha has to offer, including boat trips and kayaking on the Sangha River, gorilla trekking, net hunting with the Ba'Aka tribe and exploring hidden waterfalls. Constructed out of wood and thatch, Sangha’s eight en suite bungalows are set along the treeline of the Sangha River. Taking architectural inspiration from traditional African homestead designs, the sprinkling of contemporary elements give the rooms a subtle contemporary feel. Large windows dominate the room, bathing each corner in natural light and providing indescribable views of the river and forest.
Each bungalow offers a comfortable, simple stay. A large, comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep, a fan to keep the African heat at bay, a hot-water shower for refreshing after a day in the wilderness, and a large wooden deck to take in the gorgeous sunset and beautiful landscape.
Rustic and simple in its wood-and-thatch-based structure, the main building offers a pleasant respite between game drives when a change of scenery from your bungalow is needed. A spacious deck and lounge area with comfortable furnishings overlook the lush greenery of the forest and sparkling water of the river. And, for those who dabble in photography, the camp's game viewing hide offers wonderful opportunities to capture those award-winning shots.
