Selous Kulinda Camp
Selous Kulinda Camp is hidden among emerald trees on the riverine fringes of Tanzania's great Rufiji River. This enchanting waterway is the defining feature of Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) and the life-blood of substantial numbers of predators, the Big 5, Jurassic-sized crocodiles, over 60 000 elephants, and more than 430 recorded bird species. Although Nyerere is Africa's largest game reserve (bigger than Switzerland), it remains relatively unknown to outsiders and is perhaps Tanzania's best-kept secret.
Go on game drives, guided walks and boat safaris to explore a phenomenally untamed and unbelievably beautiful environment – a photographer's paradise and a treasure for any wildlife enthusiast. This authentic safari camp's tranquil and secluded river setting ensures a sense of utmost relaxation throughout your stay, the ideal place to go off the grid completely.

Ten very spacious tented chalets are raised on the water’s edge and well-spaced for utmost privacy. With panoramic views of the surrounding riverine landscape, your tented chalet offers a tranquil haven within one of African wildest and most remote destinations.
Each tent is equipped with all the desired comforts like crisp white linen, power points and mosquito nets. Bathrooms are en suite and each tented chalet feature private verandas with views of the Rufiji River.
The camp's main area consists of a charming dining room and lounge that walk out onto an outside deck with a swimming pool and beautiful views over the river. Grab an ice-cold drink, head to the deck and watch the sun set over pristine African wilderness.

A great camp for an affordable Selous experience. Eveything was organized and the staff took care of all of our needs. The guides were excellent!

This is one of the best tented camps in Nyerere for those wanting to stay longer and see more. The tents are strung out along the river so offer a quiet retreat during the heat of the day to relax and listen to Africa's birdsong around you. Nyerere, being so remote, often feels inaccessible but this camp – with its great staff, home-style cooking plus excellent pricing – allows you to get a taste of Africa at its uncrowded best. Worth at least five nights' stay in my opinion!
We had a wonderful time on the safari. The Selous Riverside Camp was very nice, as was their entire staff. Rahma was a very knowledgeable tour guide and gave extra effort to find the locations with the animals that we were most looking for. Clive and Rain were gracious hosts and they run a very clean and comfortable camp. The food was very good. I would recommend your company and the Selous Riverside Camp to all of my friends.

Selous-my favorite part of the trip. Loved the ability to do walking and river safaris. We did three walking safaris and learned so much. Enjoyed being close up and learning much more about the insects, mammals and vegetation. Saw less animals, but thoroughly enjoyed the area and the lack of crowds. Loved the facility and the management there is excellent.
Selous was truly amazing, we even saw the wild dogs which was a real bonus. All the accommodations were very good.
