Situated in the wildlife-rich Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, which is part of the greater Kruger National Park, Simbavati Camp George captures the essence of a classic safari escape. Set along a dramatic escarpment with a dry riverbed and natural garden below, the lodge offers guests front-row seats to observe the action of the Kruger area.
Twice-daily game drives, bush walks and night drives in the reserve give visitors to Camp George the opportunity to immerse themselves in the stunning surroundings. Guests can expect to see a variety of wildlife while exploring the area, including lion, buffalo and hippo, as well as more elusive animals like leopard, rhino, wild dog and Sharpe’s grysbok.
The lodge itself comprises of eight intimate luxury suites, each with their own private deck, as well as large living spaces. From the interactive kitchen to various outdoor decks and a large pool – great for cooling off after a long day under the African sun – there are plenty of places to unwind and enjoy the wilderness. Equipped with a choice of either king-sized or twin beds, the rooms have full en suite bathrooms with both and indoor and outdoor showers as well as a deep soaking tub – perfect for winding down at the end of a busy day in the bush.

Camp George’s spacious main lodge area is fitted with a sitting room and bar that overlook the sandy river bed below.
