Sirai House
Set within Kenya's Borana Conservancy on the Laikipia Plateau, Sirai House lies in one of East Africa's most ecologically rich and privately protected landscapes. Part of a 35,000-acre conservancy dedicated to sustainable conservation and community partnerships, Borana is home to a thriving population of black rhino, elephants, big cats and rare highland species – set against the backdrop of Mount Kenya's rising slopes.
Perched on a forested ridge within this wilderness, Sirai House is a private-use safari escape offering complete exclusivity. With just six guest suites, expansive living spaces and a full staff team, the house was designed to offer the freedom of a private villa with the comforts of a world-class lodge. Interiors reflect Kenyan craftsmanship and European elegance, while stone terraces and wide verandahs open onto panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and plains.
Days unfold entirely on your own terms – from game drives and horseback safaris to lazy poolside afternoons or wine tastings in the cellar. Evenings are reserved for cinema screenings, boma dinners, or moments by the firepit as wildlife drifts past the floodlit waterhole. At Sirai House, the safari experience feels personal, grounded and entirely your own.

Sirai House is an exclusive-use sanctuary offering six individually designed suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Elegantly furnished, the suites blend contemporary comfort with classic charm, featuring private lounges, inviting fireplaces, and free-standing bathtubs that create a sense of indulgent retreat. Thoughtful details throughout ensure both style and comfort, making each suite a haven in its own right. Below is a closer introduction to the suites of Sirai House.
The Master Suite is the most expansive at Sirai House, designed for complete privacy and panoramic views. A king-sized bed is framed by soft linens and hand-carved furniture, while a spacious dressing room and lounge offer comfort and quiet luxury. The en-suite bathroom features a freestanding tub and walk-in rain shower, with sliding glass doors opening to a private infinity plunge pool and sun-drenched terrace overlooking the plains.
Located closest to the main house, this suite blends earthy textures with soft fabrics and elegant design. A king-sized bed, sitting area, en-suite bathroom and open-air shower create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, ideal for relaxed mornings or post-safari downtime.
Perfect for families or close friends, these suites are linked by a shared drawing room but each retains its own bedroom, fireplace and private bathroom. Both include a freestanding tub, indoor and outdoor showers, and verandahs with sweeping conservancy views.
Tucked highest in the trees and furthest from the main house, these suites offer seclusion and elevated views. Connected by a private walkway and shared lounge, they feature bold interiors, Thanje-reed roofs and indulgent bathrooms with granite or wood-carved bathtubs and open-air rain showers.
Set within its own private estate, Sirai House offers a seamless blend of refined luxury and wild seclusion. Unwind beside the heated infinity pool with views across the Borana hills, or spend afternoons in the library, cinema or games room. The spa and fully equipped gym offer restorative moments between safari activities, while a curated wine cellar and art collection elevate time spent indoors.
Every detail has been considered – from dedicated staff and private guides to a study, drawing room and shaded verandahs that invite slow afternoons. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, while daily laundry, housekeeping and child-friendly amenities ensure a stay that is as effortless as it is immersive.

Dining at Sirai House is tailored entirely to your preferences, with menus designed daily by the in-house chef. Ingredients are sourced from the estate's own organic kitchen garden, neighbouring farms and the broader region, with an emphasis on seasonality, freshness and flair.
Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast on the verandah or packed for a bush picnic. Lunches are light and colourful – often served al fresco – while dinners shift in mood and setting, from long tables beneath the stars to intimate evenings in the formal dining room. Expect refined flavours, fine wines from the extensive cellar and service that feels as natural as the setting.
What makes the exclusive Sirai House special is the freedom: one moment you're on horseback tracking rhino across Borana Conservancy, the next you're sipping wine from the cellar or watching wildlife wander past the waterhole from your terrace. It's safari living, but entirely on your terms.
