Overview of Skybeds

Botswana, Khwai Private Reserve

Skybeds offers one of Botswana's most unique and exhilarating safari experiences: sleeping under the open sky, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush. Set in the heart of the Khwai Private Reserve, this camp provides an adventurous way to connect with nature. Elevated on wooden platforms above the ground, each Skybed offers incredible views of the surrounding wilderness, where wildlife roams freely below.

With just three Skybeds, this experience is both exclusive and personal. The open-air platforms provide an unrivalled vantage point for stargazing and game viewing, while still offering the comfort of a well-appointed safari bed. You can watch elephants, lions, and other wildlife from the privacy of their bed as the sun sets and the bush comes to life. Skybeds is perfect for those seeking an adventurous twist on a traditional safari. After an evening game drive, you are treated to a night under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush.

The helicopter ride to skybed was fun! The elephant viewing at the water hole was a really cool way to see elephants! I can’t believe how close they got to us! The skybed itself was comfy and warm, with a nice hot shower! Dinner was interactive and good.

I think it would have been more enjoyable to have spent 2 nights, the first night was tiring from the travel to get there, it would have been nice to spend the day in bed and watch animals come and go. And to have a second chance to be able to see the stars better since it was pretty cloudy the night we were there.

The Skybeds offer a night out under the stars. Overlooking a waterhole, you will have the opportunity to see wildlife from sunset to sunrise.
