Situated on a long stretch of dazzling beach in the picturesque seaside village of Kommetjie, The Last Word Long Beach is a luxury boutique hotel available on an individual daily-room basis or as an entire villa to share with your family and friends. The hotel offers stunning views of Hout Bay and the Table Mountain range and guests can literally step onto the beach from their room.

Featuring a very convenient in-house chauffeur service, Long Beach Hotel has a friendly and accommodating staff who can arrange personalised tours to any of the Cape’s many attractions such as nearby Cape Point Nature Reserve – the perfect spot for hiking, game viewing and whale watching in season. The area has a wonderfully isolated and serene setting but the bright lights of Cape Town are only a 40 minutes’ drive away.

    What a wonderful place. Tucked away but easy to find. The short steps from parked car, through reception area and onto the balcony open up one of the finest views we've ever enjoyed. Over the 3-4 days of our stay, we never came close to tiring of that vista or of the comfort afforded by the hotel.
    I was concerned pre-arrival , having learned that not all rooms boast the full panoramic view, that we would be disappointed by the room. Not so. It was lovely, with a good partial view of sea and mountains, and with a nice simple terrace and shared pool.
    The interaction with staff was excellent: friendly but not overbearingly chummy, very responsive and good service on request, thoroughly professional but not slick. Restaurant bookings were handled very well, and the driver service (eg to Kalk Bay and back) was faultless. Hayley and Jenny and their colleagues run a fine place and run it very, very well.
    Only one flaw – I found my back sore after each of the first two nights' sleep; the mattress seemed to have sunk somewhat. This was turned at our request and the problems ceased.
    Locally, the range of restaurants proved very good – we tried The Pickled Fish and Harbour House / Live Bait for one night each. The deli at Food Barn in Noordhoek was a good stop for lunch on arrival and our room was made ready ahead of time.
    We were really sorry to leave Long Beach and wished we had booked a longer stay. A perfect place to drop into and chill at on arrival from a long flight.
