The Marine Hermanus incorporates fresh colours and luxurious fabrics into its 42 individually decorated bedrooms and suites - each with air conditioning and under-floor heating, a mini-bar and en suite bathroom.

Many have balconies with commanding views across Walker Bay or over the beautiful internal courtyards.

Premier Suite

The seven Premier Suites have expansive ocean views, and two have private balconies and/or fireplaces. All have private lounge areas.

The Carchele Beauty Spa offers a comprehensive list of treatments that promise to soothe and revitalise you. The spa has a DermaLife Capsule, a steam room and a couple's massage room.

The Pavilion offers some of the finest dining in Hermanus and the menus is inspired by the bounty of the local Overberg. Combining the best South African ingredients with hints of the Mediterranean and the East, Relais & Chateaux grand chef Peter Tempelhoff has been showered with both local and international accolades and awards, and the wholly enchanting dining experiences that he creates are certainly not to be missed.

Inspired by Harrod’s renowned seafood counter, the hotel's other restaurant - Origins - has a warm and inviting atmosphere, is stylishly decorated, and serves ocean-fresh, sustainable seafood. Indulge in playful dishes accompanied by a crisp wine white from the nearby Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.

For a relaxing drink, visit the Sun Lounge - a stylish cocktail bar and lounge - or simply choose a bottle of wine from the floating wine cellar, stocked with some of South Africa’s best wines, to enjoy in your room or suite. The Sun Lounge has lovely views of the surrounding cliffs and Walker Bay.
