Best time to visit

From December to March, the Cape Winelands is a place of long, hot summer days with temperatures at their hottest in January and February. April and May are lovely months with less wind and far fewer visitors while May to September brings winter's rain and cooler days, perfect for staying inside and tasting red wines! The spring months of October and November see mixed weather but are among the best months for hiking as the surrounding mountains burst with flowers after the rains.
